Inquiry Blog Post Four
After my three minute presentation in class last week, I feel like the feedback that I received was very helpful. I was able to get a lot of good feedback. I feel like I can narrow my subject down to just the language of sales, rather than researching both language and body language of sales. I am not sure if I will narrow it down so far as to research how gender plays a role in sales, or if I will just research on sales as a whole. After going to the library and getting some more input, I am confident that I will be able to find some scholarly research as well as hard covered information inside of the library. Overall, I feel that the last couple classes has been very helpful and informational, giving me direction on how I will continue to move forward with this inquiry project. For example,I forget who said it, but one of my classmates said to try looking at different types of people... "Type A" or "Type B" and the Librarian said to change the wordplay in the library search for a better/more concise answer to my questions. After doing so, I found a book called, "Closers" talking about the different way salesmen approach different people with different personalities. So with that said, I am happy about the way my presentation turned out.
